So no one told you life was gonna be this way. Your job's a joke, you're broke ... and now even Monopoly, the unchanging rock of your family's holiday game night, is starting to look a little different.
It's hard to grow up. But the board game's new mini-makeover actually makes it even cooler.
The game's manufacturer, Hasbro, held a vote to replace a few of its classic tokens — the thimble, the boot, and the wheelbarrow — with fresh new ones.

This isn't the first time Hasbro has replaced an original game token. In 2013, a cat replaced the iron, which makes a lot of sense in the internet age, when most of us rarely use irons but can't escape cat videos.
Monopoly has been around since 1935, so it's due for an update. So what token is coming next? We're thinking of petitioning Hasbro for the sea slug. Who's with us?
